Swatching ALL THE INDIES!

Alright. So… I know myself all too well, and I know that if I don't just bite the bullet and put ALL of these in one HUGE blog post… It's going to take me years to get it all done and get all the swatches up. I still have some of the OPI Brazil polishes sitting on my dresser waiting to be swatched, along with a few other pretties I purchased at Sally's. I haven't made any more indie polish purchases because I've put myself on a No-Buy for any more indies for a while. Every time I get excited about a new indie polish collection I want…. My bank account quietly reminds me to calm the heck down. So. There's that. But I still have these beauties that I can play with, and I haven't used most of them yet other than swatches. So I think I shall survive. :) I really needed to get these swatches up so I can get around to posting more swatches of my store-bought polishes! They need love too! ;)

Let's just jump into it.

This is Love To Hate You from Different Dimension polish. It's a clear based polish with circles, stars, diamonds, and hearts in different shades of purple and white. I used it with Play Date from Essie, and I think it was super pretty. Some of the purple glitters weren't as visible as others, but it still came out looking really nice. I had no fishing issues at all, which is always wonderful! I really love all of my Different Dimension polishes. They're all amazing, with amazing application. I haven't had any issues with any of them. I'm officially in love.

This is actually two swatches in one! This is Different Dimension polish (imagine that!) in Lucky, and my accent nail is Legion Lacquer in Jar of Crushed Hearts. These polishes together!? Oh my lawwwwd. Gorgeous. Seriously. They're STUNNING. Both of them. As I said in my previous post… I swore that Legion Lacquer's Valentine's Day collection HAD to be mine. I already showed you two out of three… So here is the last beauty from that collection. And its paired with one of my favorite holos. Lucky is a gorgeous deep pink holo that I can't even describe with words. It's just so perfect. Jar of Crushed Hearts looks exactly as its described. It's a beautiful glitter that can be full coverage in about two coats, or worn over another polish. I cannot say enough about these two polishes. They're just amazing. This swatch is what my motto is all about. OH MY GLITTER.

This, again, is a double swatch. I used a gold polish from Maybelline's Color Show polish line called Bold Gold. The bottle says it's holographic (thats a lie. just sayin.) but it was the first gold polish I grabbed out of my collection. This swatch is of Cult Stay Gold and Loaded Lacquer in Tornado in a Trailer Park. I am really loving my Cult polishes, making me completely wish I had the financial ability to get the blackbox every month, because I really don't think I'd ever be disappointed. But that will have to wait for now. I'm also loving the Loaded Lacquer polishes I have, and this is one I was more excited about. But unfortunately, I had fishing issues. And as we all know, I am NOT about to pour my polish out to get some glitter. This polish has a lot of different sized glitters in it, and a lot of the smaller ones are the ones I could get. The bigger, heavier glitters just seemed to want to stick to the side of the bottle, even after I let it sit upside down, AND rolled it between my palms for a bit. So I was a bit disappointed with the fishing issue, but its still a great polish, nonetheless. If I could sit and fish some of the glitters out, I'd be fine. I just didn't have the patience. But here they are!

And here we have ANOTHER Different Dimension polish! (Can you guess which indie brand I purchased the most from?!) This polish is actually very dear to my heart, and I actually purchased TWO bottles. This is Never Grow Up. Now, I know its a T. Swift song, and ever since her second album, I haven't listened to her much. But on June 29th 2011, my beautiful goddaughter was born. She immediately became my entire world, capturing my heart the second I laid eyes on her. Well, about 6 months later, I was in Target with my mom (who is obsessed with Tay-Tay) and saw her new "Deluxe" edition and immediately asked me to get it and burn her a copy. I told her I didn't need to buy it at Target, that I could just as easily get it on iTunes. I went home and downloaded it (because my mommy told me to) and as I was burning the CD, Never Grow Up came on. And as soon as I heard the first two lines, I started BAWLING my eyes out. It just so happened that I had just moved out to live with my fiancĂ© at the time (no, we did not get married. #teamforeveralonewithmypolish) and of course, I was a bit nervous about being on my own. So hearing the lyrics to that song hit me hard. I immediately called her mom and made her listen to it, and she cried too. From that point on, it has always been my song to my goddaughter. It carries such special meaning for me, so when I saw this polish and I read its name… I immediately bought two bottles. One is with me, and the other belongs to my goddaughter (who is, indeed, a polish addict in training.) So THANK YOU, Missi for making this polish. It means more than you know, even though it wasn't made specially for me. :)

Also from Different Dimension polish is Hearts on Fire. I used it with Cult Matador, which is my new favorite red. And I normally hate red polishes. Go figure, right?! Hearts on Fire is a really pretty glitter bomb with stars, hearts, circles, and flowers in red and gold and yellow. I even think I saw a few orange babies in there too! It's so completely different than anything I have in my collection. I really really like this, and I kind of want to slather it over some white! Maybe I'll do that sometime soon! :)

Here are some drug store products that I purchased. This is Sinful Colors Starry Night (I think this is a texture polish…) and Pure Ice It's Complicated. I really don't like texture polishes very much. I'm a picker, so if theres anything on my nail that I can feel… I'm going to pick it. I'm working on it, though. But this polish wasn't TOO bad. I had previously purchased Belugaria from Essie and I HATED IT. It's the worst texture polish I've ever used (only because I'm a picker!) and Starry Night kind of reminds me of a toned down version of Belugaria. And It's Complicated is just a super fun glitter bomb that goes on super easy and makes any mani more fun. It seriously goes with anything. It's kind of like a little black dress :) Take a peek!

And LAST SWATCH is a Polish Addict polish in Lipstick & Shades that I purchased from a destash. I paired it with a simple black polish from Wet N Wild. This polish has white and pink glitters, and I think it looks seriously perfect with black. The pink really pops, and I had no issue getting any of them out of the bottle. It's my first Polish Addict nail polish, and I'm really happy with it! I think I'll be looking more into them and maybe making a real purchase when my No-Buy is over!

And along with Lipstick and Shades, I threw on V-Day=D-Day from Lacquerlicious over the black. It is a charity polish to help raise money for Pitbull rescue! It's so pretty, and so fun! It has skull & cross bones, stars, hearts and all other shapes & goodies! It definitely fits the name! I swatched this polish with another colored polish which you can find on instagram @missfancynails_xo.

Polished Colors & Loaded Lacquer

Hey everyone! So it snowed 10 inches last night. Guess my snow dance worked! I'm obviously off today so I decided to give you guys more swatches of my indie polishes that I've been trying to get up here so I can start swatching my new purchases from Sally's. :) So quick and to the point, lets get started.

This is Polished Colors Mickey & Minnie's Love. It's a pretty creamy pink base with pink and black mickey heads with some black and white circle glitter. It's a very simple polish to work with, and after storing it upside down overnight, I had no problems getting the glitters out. I did place the mickey heads where I wanted them, but that's not a big deal. I really enjoyed this polish, and I think I may be doing a mani with it for Disney on Ice this Sunday! So keep an eye out for that! I paired it with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri polish, and I'm not 100% sure of the name because the stickers wore off on it. :( But this is two normal coats with just a base coat. :)

This is another Polished Colors polish. This is Eeny Meeny Minnie's Bow. It is a clear base with silver and white circle glitters with black Mickey heads and pink Minnie bows. This is over the "nameless" Sally Hansen polish, and unfortunately, I did have some issues with this polish. I tried turning it over upside down overnight, and I still had issues getting the glitters out of the bottle. They just did not want to come out. I tried to fish them out, but it was a struggle. I will never be willing to waste polish by dumping some of it out just to get a glitter, so that was NOT an option. So I just kept fishing, and fishing, and fishing. Eventually, I got it. But it did take a while. It's an adorable polish, but I wish it wasn't so thick and wasn't so hard to get the glitters. If anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to let me know! Other than my glitter issues, once you get them on the nail, its super cute.

Lastly for today is Loaded Lacquer's Texting On The Dance Floor. I seriously love every single one of my Loaded Lacquer polishes. They are FANTASTIC. The glitters have no issues coming out of the bottle and attacking my nails, in the loveliest way. This polish is just indescribable. It has such an amazing variation of glitters in shapes and sizes and colors. It looks GORGEOUS with blues and purples and pinks, and oh jeeze just about anything. I can't say enough wonderful things about this polish, along with the rest of my Loaded Lacquer polishes. Needless to say… I'll be purchasing many more in the future. :) Take a look!

Different Dimension, Legion Lacquer, & Loaded Lacquer

Hey everyone! I apologize for the delay in posts! My car broke down on Monday, giving me massive anxiety, so I wasn't able to do much of anything. I was not functioning properly, so I knew blogging was NOT a good idea. But it's all fixed, and I'm back to normal functionality, so here I am! :) I am going to do my best to make up for it tonight and tomorrow, and POSSIBLY Friday, because I'm in Virginia, meaning we're getting hit with possibly 10 inches of snow. So I'm doing a little bit of a snow dance over here, hoping work gets cancelled for the next two days, so I can get a LOT of these swatches up for you. I have been to Sally's and I picked up 6 of the Brazil collection polishes from OPI, along with some Orly polishes, FingerPaints, and one Nina Pro polish. I'm going in search of Where Did Suzi's Man-go? this weekend, because my Sally's is out of it and not getting any more. And that's the main one I wanted! So I must find it. Somewhere. Somehow.

Anywayssss! I did do a little "mini haul" at Sally's meaning I have more swatching to do. Which, of course, means the swatches I did with my indie polish nail mail should really get done first. So everyone pray my town gets mountains of snow so I can curl up in my bed, watch Modern Family re-runs, and blog and swatch my little fingers off (hopefully not literally. that'd be sad day.)

So now that I've ranted and tried to explain my hopefully excusable absence, I shall show you swatches!

Behold!

This is Different Dimension's Why Am I Such A Misfit? This polish is so cute. I love the name, and the polish has such fun colors in it. It just makes me smile, really. Its a creamy white base, with green, blue, purple, and pink glitters in it in all different shapes and sizes. This is two coats with some glitter placement, just because I really wanted those big circle glitters! It's paired with Essie's Secret Story (one of my current favorite pinks!) which also used two coats.

Up next is a polish by Legion Lacquer. This was the first indie brand to catch my eye on instagram. Another girl (i don't remember who!) had posted swatches of Eros, and I immediately fell head over heels. It would've been my first indie brand purchase, but I was dead set on buying the WHOLE Valentines collection at once, so I had to force myself to wait a little bit. But FINALLY… I got them. I got them ALL. I loved these polishes in swatches, and I love them on! I have two for you in this post, and the third one to come later because its paired with another indie! :) But first up is Eros, a STUNNING creamy pink with the most adorable heart glitters. It's full coverage with 2-3 coats, depending on how thick of a coat you use. Sadly, I did have a bit of a difficult time fishing the hearts out, because all mine seemed to be emotionally attached to the side of the bottle. But I did not even care, because I JUST WANTED IT ON MY FINGERS! It's still completely worth the wait. Its paired, again, with two coats of Essie Secret Story. As is He Loves Me…Not! which is the second Legion Lacquer polish I have swatched for you. Its a gorgeous glitter bomb that required no fishing at all! Sadly, these swatches don't show the glitters as clearly as I'd like, so hopefully over the next few days, I'll be able to get another swatch of that one for you. It has different sized circle and hex glitters with red and pink hearts! I love this polish and I'm so sad you can't see it clearly. I promise I'll get another swatch for you soon! In the swatch of Eros, I also included a Different Dimension polish called Inner Goddess over my pinky and index finger. It's a polish inspired by the Fifty Shades of Grey series, and is described as "an iridescent/pearly base, with tons of iridescent color shifting glitters." I have not used it on its own yet, but I think I may try that after I finish posting! :) It's super pretty, and it gives off that "classy, but sassy" kind of vibe!

Lastly for tonight's post, but most definitely not least- Loaded Lacquer with Oxygen Bar. I really do love this polish. It's a really fun glitter topper, but can be full coverage in about 3 coats. It has pink, blue, purple, lavender, and periwinkle glitters in a clear base. It has a flawless application, and looks so pretty with all different combinations of colors. I can easily picture it paired with white, silver, black, lavender, purple, and so many more. In these pictures, it's paired with Essie's Secret Story (imagine that!) I think these pictures speak for themselves, really!

Alright! Well, that's it for tonight. I apologize again for it taking forever for me to get these up. I really am doing the best I can with the time I'm given. My work hours got changed, so hopefully I will be able to get more blog posts up more often. I adore ALL of my readers so much, and you have no idea how much all those page views mean to me! So thank you all again!

Don't forget to like my page on Facebook, and follow me on instagram! Once I hit 500 followers on instagram, I'll be holding a giveaway! I have already started buying polishes for it, so hopefully it'll be a big one!
